DC Condo Conversions – Hiring the Best Contractor

So you have a great crew that you are using For your residential flip projects.  But now you are ready to move into the condo conversion game and you want to know how you can go about finding the correct condo conversion contractor.  My name is Deirdre Brown I am a settlement agent serving the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Today I’m going to talk to you about some things you want to consider before you bring a contractor on board for your condo conversion project.  First has the contractor successfully completed a  condo conversion project  in the District of Columbia.  This is not a time you want to go with a green company. You have way too much on the line to do that. Secondly can the company commit to the timeframes.  What I mean by that is that condo  conversions take a little longer than residential flips so will they be in it for the long haul. Do they have enough crew to get the job done so when things speed up at the end and you are trying to hit deadlines do they have enough manpower to get it done. This will help decrease your holding cost.

Are they experienced with working with architects and engineers when it comes to things like underpinning the foundation or adding additions? You want to make sure that they know how to get things done correctly so that we can move forward with the project and pass inspections.
